Vessels by Joshua Huyser in Minneapolis, Minnesota
It is rare that I feature more than one painting by an artist at a time. But Huyser’s brilliance isn’t captured in any single piece – but rather the body of his work is where all the genius lies.
If you’ve ever painted still life, particularly translucent objects, you’ll know how difficult it is to get them looking as accurately as Huyser has done. But they aren’t photo-real. They are still very much paintings of objects.
