Stargazing Owl by Eugene Arenhaus in Haifa, Israel
The second piece in this week’s illustration2015 series is a single piece from Eugene Arenhaus’s excellent Owl Daily project. I recommend visiting his site and his blog and he’s also on Facebook.
I love that Arenhaus used red to light this piece because that is exactly what you’d see at a real observatory — the red light helps keep your pupils dilated to capture as much light as possible.
I’m a sucker for space, telescopes, and owls.
