Buckle’s body of work is pretty extensive and spans over many decades from early 1900s until his death in 1973. He worked on many posters for the railway, like the one I’ve chosen to feature here, and became one of the best known and most-well-traveled poster artist of his time.
The BBC has a nice slideshow of some of Buckle’s paintings that are up in the National Railway Museum. If you have the time I recommend perusing his entire gallery. It is chocked full of inspiring works.
