Kansas Schoolhouse by Don Gore in Missouri.
Don Gore has been featured two other times here on The Watercolor Gallery. His clean, simple lines and ability to capture a scene is what keeps me coming back for more.
One thing I do notice is that on the main subjects of his art the lines are definitive, on the background parts of his art the opposite is true, yet they aren’t blurry. For example, look at the clean lines of the roof of the schoolhouse and compare that with the lines of the shadows of the trees in the far right distant.
I have no idea if this is on purpose or not but I really love it. Maybe I’ll ask Gore if he’d care to do an interview and I’ll ask him.
