Canyon March to the moon by Jacqui Binford-Bell in New Mexico

Canyon March to the moon by Jacqui Binford-Bell in New Mexico.

If you know me then you know I love things that are different. I remember the first time I saw The Starry Night by van Gogh. I thought, at first, who could like this? But then you find out about the context of the painting. The style of the times. The newness of the entire thing. Then you love it. In fact, I have a print of The Starry Night in my office and its likeness is on my Capital One card in my wallet.

I have had a similar reaction to Binford-Bell’s style. At first you think it is a bit brash and harsh. Then you begin to appreciate how great it really is. How different it is. How intentional it all is. There aren’t any mistakes in the painting because the style has no beginning or end. It simply shows itself throughout.

I think this type of art is absolutely fantastic and I’m going to make it a point to feature more of it here on the gallery.
